Song That Reminds Me of a Book

For this week, I’m not exactly sure why this book reminds me of this song, but hopefully, you will see my reasoning. The song this week is “Unsteady” by X Ambassadors, the Erich Lee Gravity remix, and the book that it reminds me of is Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor. First of all, the song is just as memorable and enticing as the author’s writing. Secondly, I feel like this song perfectly describes how Karou—the main character—would feel in the situation. She is discovering her world completely for the first time, and it’s unsettling for her. Additionally, she has a romance that is accurately represented in this song. They never seem able to quite get past each other, even though there are secrets. There is no denying that they love one another. I highly recommend both the song and the novel.
