Books I Brought With Me to College
I brought a handful or so of books with me to college. Will I even touch them? I have no idea. I’ve been favoring audiobooks lately because the only thing that I legitimately read are textbooks. Yes, it’s a sad thing, but if you’re curious about which books I brought with me to college, stay tuned.
For the most part, these are books that I could theoretically fly through, so you won’t find any hardcore fantasy here.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
A Beauty and the Beast retelling with faeries, so I’m told. I’ve been aching to read this one for a while. I got about 20 pages in before having to stop because college got in the way. Read the rest of this entry »

Mean Girls Book Tag
I was tagged in this almost a year ago by the lovely Kacie at A Bumble in Books (see her post here), and if you haven’t checked out her blog, I suggest you do so. I’m so sorry that I haven’t done this yet, but I’m doing it now. I’m also currently watching the movie to get myself in the mood for it, and let’s be honest here. Mean Girls is fantastic and hilarious.

Basically everyone from And I Darken by Kiersten White. Ladislav Dragwlya, Mehmed. It’s not that I necessarily got their names wrong, but I don’t know how to pronounce their names in general. When I first read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, I had no idea how to pronounce Carlisle. I vividly remember debating about the pronunciation with my friend in middle school. 5 Steps to Tackle a Reading Slump
Like most readers out there, I detest the moments when I am not in the mood for reading. Funnily enough, I’m actually writing this post to avoid reading, but that’s more because the Olympic trials are on than that the book I’m reading isn’t grabbing my attention.
Personally, I don’t suffer generally from what the majority define as a reading slump. Actually, what normally happens is that I make excuses about how busy I get and that college is getting in the way of reading. Yeah, those are pretty pathetic reasons, but life happens. When I am truly not in the mood for reading though, I typically follow the advice that I will give you in a second. This post was inspired by the fact that someone asked me for advice for the slump that they were going through, and I thought that perhaps we could all gain something by me putting my thoughts on this topic to paper. Obviously, this is not the scientific method, so if these ideas don’t work for you, I’m sorry. Truthfully, while there are tips and tricks to getting out of slumps, they are a part of life, and they are completely okay. Read the rest of this entry »
The Olympics Book Tag
In the spirit of the phenomenal athletes working their hardest in Brazil, I thought I would do The Olympics Book Tag! I absolutely adore the Olympics, both the summer and the winter games. Obviously, the summer games are currently going on for the next week or so, and I encourage you all to at least watch one of the events because personally, I just find it all so impressive.

Hi, everyone! This is my first venture into the blogging world, and I’m excited to interact with other people in this community. So, please don’t be shy. For the most part, this blog will be focusing on books and bookish things. Books have been a large part of my life for years, and I have a great passion for it.
